We do not support backups here so we will not help you with that. As for DVD playback, install the HBC and DVDx with bannerbomb and the hackmii installer. Then use Mplayer CE to launch the DVD. You can find everything you need Here.by TopGun96 - Getting Started

Yeah you still have cIOSCORP. That is what gives you the "No Vulnerable IOSs" error. Use Dop-IOS MOD to install IOS 30 v1040.by TopGun96 - FixMii

Yes you can update if you have HBC. There is almost ZERO chance of bricking just by installing the homebrew channel. It has never happened. You can backup your Wii Channels by simply moving them to the SD card... There is a way to have apps as channels but it is somewhat risky and only for experienced users of wii homebrew.by TopGun96 - Getting Started

I too am trying to set up code blocks. There is no "GCC compiler for PPC" only "GCC Compiler". Me, having no coding skills, just copied the one that was there and named it "Wii Compiler" Now I can not find the "use EABI" or "use hardware floating point". Any help?by TopGun96 - Offtopic
