Try using Dop Mii to reinstall IOS 21.by winmaster - Homebrew General
Also, please be informed that there is no advantage to updating, and certainly no reason to purchase a new Wii because you cannot update.by winmaster - Homebrew General
You should certainly upgrade to the latest version of th Homebrew Channel. After running the HackMii installer, please post your log file here so we can see if anything needs to be fixed for stable operation. Do this weather the installer runs correctly or not. Also, please tell us what sytem menu your Wii is running on. I think the first black Wii's may have had 4.2 on them.by winmaster - Homebrew General
First of all, this is in the wrong sub forum. Are you holding the Wii Remote upside down? (Had to ask...) Are you using a Nintendo Wii Remote, or a generic brand. If you are using a generic brand, it may not work properly in homebrew, and cause problems such as the one you are seeing.by winmaster - FixMii
Please note that even if you do successfully remove all homebrew, there is still a good chance Nintendo will find it.by winmaster - Homebrew General
Pidgin is open source, so it should be possible to port it.It supports MSN.by winmaster - Ideas, requests
I happen to be having a similar issue. Unlike the original poster, however, my USB HDD (actually, its a laptop drive enclosure) does not work in any app that I have tried it in (WiiMC and VBAGX). I have acquired a copy of the HackMii Installer 0.6 (found it right away on google) and can confirm that it also does not work in that version of the Homebrew Channel. Bear in mind, however, that as it dby winmaster - Homebrew General
No, BootMii is what performs the backup, so running it without installing it is impossible. Also, installing BootMii and the Homebrew channel will not affect any other part of the Wii.by winmaster - Getting Started
Quotemdbrimthe log says: Found IOS 254: revision: 0xff01* you say you've never done any modding before? This is BootMii IOS. Because he ran the installer multiple times before asking for help, the log will show the asterisk because it has already been replaced with MINI.by winmaster - Getting Started
Usually the only folders you need are apps (for homebrew) and private (for official wii stuff).by winmaster - Getting Started
Downgrading your System Menu is dangerous because stub IOSes can cause bricks if they are not taken care of properly. For instance, System Menu 4.3 stubs IOS 70, which System Menu 4.2 uses. If you don't know what you are doing and you downgrade to System Menu 4.2 with a stub IOS 70, then your Wii will brick. Fortunately for you, Pimp My Wii did not stub IOS 70 like the normal system updateby winmaster - FixMii
Update: DacoTaco has released Priiloader 0.6, so no IOS patching/downgrading is necessary. Must've gotten sick of waiting for a fixed Homebrew Channel.by winmaster - Feedback & Support
Additionally, Priiloader can be installed on an old version of vanilla IOS 36 and once installed, does not need a patched IOS.by winmaster - Feedback & Support
I agree that it is strange that this just happened, however, based on how you described the situation, SaveMiiFrii should work. Hopefully, when an updated system menu comes out, you can just make it fix itself. Unfortunately, it will probably be a while before a usable disc comes out.by winmaster - FixMii
If you do not want to spend a large amount of money on fixing your Wii or buying a new one, you are indeed at the point where you must wait patiently for System Menu 4.4/5.0 and a game to push it.by winmaster - FixMii
579 tracks 323 albums 327 artists 2.6 days of audio. I got these numbers from my iTunes library. It should be noted that this includes things that are not songs, such as podcasts and audio books.by winmaster - Offtopic
Assuming this law or a similar one gets passed, why would this website get blocked? Also, in the unlikely event that this website is censored, just download Tor. If you are really paranoid, download Tor now in case that gets blocked too.by winmaster - Offtopic
QuoteNintendoFreakQuoteHadden000No warranty. 2 years old. You should try anyway, they may fix it for free. My friend sent in his Wii (which he got in 2006 or 2007) and they fixed this issue for free, they also replaced the motherboard because he lost all his saves, etc which really pissed him off because the problem was just with the disk drive. Agreed, they have said that they will fix diby winmaster - FixMii
Not that I know of. If you do not know what is causing this error, then a NAND restore with BootMii boot2 is likely your best option.by winmaster - FixMii
Download the latest version of Dop-Mii from Wiibrew.org. Use it to install the latest versions of all IOSes EXCEPT IOS 50, 60, 70, and 80. Instead of installing the latest version of IOS 50, install revision 4889. If you are using the version of Dop-Mii that is not available on Wiibrew.org, then do not apply any patches to any IOSes. Then remove IOSes 60, 70, and 80. You may also remove any IOS tby winmaster - Homebrew Applications

QuoteMagilNo, I was referring to an entirely different and more complete disc. But if that one you've linked is also a bootable CD that only runs that specific program, then much better. I guess it'll spare him waiting for 200 MB to download and burn (assuming this one is smaller). It was about 50MB when I downloaded it, but it may have grown a bit since then. QuoteMagilWhy not download something like Hiren's Boot CD? Other than having a bunch of recovery programs, it contains a portable version of Windows. You can try launching that tool you mentioned through there if you don't wanna go through the trouble of finding a Windows ISO online and installing it on your HDD. Don't worry. That portable version is loaded only on your RAM, and doby winmaster - Getting Started

QuoteIrrlichtQuoteDonsSwordThanks for your reply. That's a lot to consider. I'm going to try and clean my SD card with a reformat and reinstall everything sometime this weekend. If I am not happy at that point, I'll downgrade to 1.0.6 and see how happy that makes me. Most people would recommend you not to downgrade, it is very likely it will brick your wii. IOS 80 is definitely patched according to that report. Try reinstalling a vanilla version.by winmaster - FixMii
Generally, you can post log files containing CIOSes here. We just can't discuss how to obtain CIOSes, pirate games, ect. Just an FYI. Did you patch any official IOSes or your system menu?by winmaster - FixMii
