Wow, I was expecting a lot more anger, lol. I agree. Dear Pirates: Please go f*ck yourselves. Love, winmasterby winmaster - Offtopic
The update will not brick your console. You have nothing to worry about.by winmaster - Homebrew General
QuoteNintendoFreak And they do keep track with the serials, I remember calling Nintendo a year ago asking for an Account transfer to my new Wii because my old one was busted really bad, they transferred it with the Serials of both systems. Ah, so that means they do have a way of transferring accounts when the Wii's successor comes out. I find this thread very interesting.by winmaster - Homebrew General
With school, I don't have time to test ATM, but just out of curiosity, why did you choose system menu 4.2 for ARC? Wouldn't 4.1 or 4.3 make more sense?by winmaster - Testing Corner
WiiConnect24 will not update your Wii. Also, your Wii is not connected to the Internet unless the power light is orange or green. If it is red, you know it is not connected. Now, even though WiiConnect24 will not update your Wii, it can still damage it. If you leave it on during standby mode, many people, including myself, have found that your Wii can get a little toasty. So toasty, in fact,by winmaster - Homebrew General
QuoteAxelI can confirm that Wii Shop channel keeps a log of your purchases, does not only detect the tickets of installed titles in your Wii. I restored a very old NAND backup with BootMii, when I had not purchases any title. I had the WW titles stored in my SD and the system didn't allow me to copy them back to the Wii. However, I entered to the Shop channel, and all my titles appeareby winmaster - Homebrew General
If you used Bannerbomb to install the Homebrew Channel, then you need to delete your private folder, or you will continue to have issues.by winmaster - Getting Started
If you had BootMii as boot2 before, you should reinstall it as boot2. BootMii IOS provides little or no brick protection.by winmaster - Getting Started
If saved data is the only issue, then the easiest way to save it from formatting is to copy the saved data to an SD card (using homebrew if necessary) and then copy it back afterwards.by winmaster - Homebrew General
Go ahead and delete all of the HackMii Installer files and Smash Stack files from your SD card. Once the Homebrew Channel is installed, it will run from your Wii. Keep in mind that any apps you have still need to be on the SD card, as well as BootMii's files, which are needed if you use BootMii.by winmaster - Getting Started
Personally, I hope Nintendo HAS given up on the Wii and has moved on to its successor. I want to see Mario in 1080p. Of course, Nintendo seems to have decided that releasing 700 DSes is a better option than replacing a console that was dated when it came out.by winmaster - Offtopic
There should be an installer.log file on your SD card. Please post its contents here.by winmaster - Getting Started
QuotewinmasterDo you have BootMii as boot2?by winmaster - FixMii
You may want to consider installing Priiloader, which with BootMii IOS will give you some brick protection.by winmaster - Getting Started
QuoteMestizoIt's nothing to worry about. I got Metroid: Other M at around 11, popped it in at noon, ran the update. I still had Homebrew Channel 1.0.8 and Wii System Menu 4.3. All it seems to do is install some missing optional channels (Check Mii Out, Everyone Votes, etc). Does it install all of the optional channels, or just the ones you mentioned? I'm just wondering if Nintendo wilby winmaster - Homebrew General
Quoteamandak695What's up everyone, I'm new to the forum and just wanted to say hey. Hopefully I posted this in the right section! Are you new to forums in general? You just replied to someone else's thread.by winmaster - Offtopic
Quotejbc007 Furthermore, by reinstalling the system menu you will lose Priiloader, meaning that your wii may be damaged beyond repair. Whoops, I didn't know updating the system menu deleted Priiloader. Everything I said is a bad idea. Please ignore it.by winmaster - FixMii
I don't think there it a video, and the fact that you can get into Priiloader is a good thing. You should be able to boot the Homebrew Channel from Priiloader.by winmaster - FixMii
Download IOS 80 with NUSD, then install it with wadimport. Do the same for System Menu 4.3u.by winmaster - FixMii
Yes, that file contains the exploit. Deleting it will allow you to create your own custom stages.by winmaster - Homebrew General
Quoteziggyhbomberror 404 is usually a spyware if it has a link to my browser bar, it comes with some freeware, unistall what you don,t need. and for that app, it didn't crash my netbook (its a first) so i guess it is good Error 404 means page not found. It has nothing to do with spyware.by winmaster - Testing Corner
QuoteLuigi886QuoteSifJarDelete the .bin file you copied onto the SD card. I am SO sorry because I am a newb at this. -.- I'm kinda lost here. Remember the .bin file you put on your SD card? Delete it now, you don't need it anymore.by winmaster - Homebrew General
QuoteSaintI already have my Wii modded and stuff I'm aware of IOS's and such, I was just curious of there being any precautions because I wouldn't want to be blamed for getting someone's new Wii bricked. You would think nintendo would do things to new wii's to stop them from being modded to prevent piracy? They did, it just didn't work.by winmaster - Getting Started
QuoteLinkSlayer64QuoteHelpMiihmm okay i think i get it.. what burning program do you suggest? currently i'm using imageburn but if you have any other suggestions.. You don't want to use imgburn, that will burn the whole game to the DVD, you want to burn files to the disc, like you would some music, or photos, and burn the disc in Joliet format Imgburn should work fine. Just make sureby winmaster - Homebrew General
QuoteLinkSlayer64QuotewinmasterI just looked up where I read that and I think I'm probably wrong. I thought a certain amount of code from the original console was required to run the game. Didn't early Nintendo games check the system's integrity? Or was it only the console checking the game? No, it was the console, and as for the code, that code required is called the bios. I thinkby winmaster - Homebrew General
Bannerbomb will not work on new Wii's because they have System Menu 4.3. Also, DVD's that are not made by Nintendo cannot be read on new Wii's. Otherwise, provided you are using the latest version of the HackMii Installer, homebrew should work fine on brand new Wii's.by winmaster - Getting Started
QuoteLinkSlayer64QuotewinmasterUSB loaders are perfectly legal, as long as you own the game you are loading. Emulators are also only legal if you own the game AND the system you are emulating. Obviously users of USB loaders own a Wii. I do believe you are INCORRECT about the whole "system" part. Perhaps it comes down to that in the case of BIOS (since the bios are IN the system) but not otherwiseby winmaster - Homebrew General
I generally do not have a problem with the rules here, but I do want to share my 2 cents. Quotebg4545Emulators are perfectly legal...
